6 ■EnglishPreparation before Installation3. How to set the different addressesWhen two indoor units are installed in one room, the two wireless remote controllers can be setfor different addresses.1) Remove the metal plate electrical wiringcover.(Refer to the When connecting to an HAsystem.)2) Cut the address jumper (JA) on the printedcircuit board.3) Cut the address jumper (J4) in the remotecontroller.4. When connecting to an HA system(wired remote controller, central remote controller etc.)1) Remove the front grille. (3 screws)2) Remove the electrical wiring box. (1 screw)3) Remove the metal plate electrical wiring cover. (4 tabs)4) Attach the connection cord to the S21 connector and pull the harness out through the notched part in the figure.5) Replace the electrical wiring cover as it was, and pull the harness around, as shown in the figure.* Some models cannot be connected to an HA system.Refrigerant Piping Work1. Flaring the pipe end1) Cut the pipe end with a pipe cutter.2) Remove burrs with the cut surface facing downwardso that the chips do not enter the pipe.3) Put the flare nut on the pipe.4) Flare the pipe.5) Check that the flaring is properly made.WARNING• Do not use mineral oil on flared part.• Prevent mineral oil from getting into the system as this would reduce the lifetime of the units.• Never use piping which has been used for previous installations. Only use parts which are delivered with the unit.• Never install a drier to this R410A unit in order to guarantee its lifetime.• The drying material may dissolve and damage the system.• Incomplete flaring may cause refrigerant gas leakage.ADDRESSJ4EXIST 1CUT 2J4AddressJAAddressJAEXIST 1CUT 2ScrewHA cordHA connector(S21)TabTabPushSlidePushMetal plateelectrical coverTabPushMain bodyNotched part4) 5) Replace the electricalwiring cover as it was,and pull the harnessaround, as shownin the figure.Attach the connection cord tothe S21 connector and pull theharness out through thenotched part in the figure.3) Remove the metalplate electricalwiring cover.Set exactly at the position shown below.AFlaringDie A 0-0.020 inch (0-0.5mm)Clutch-typeFlare tool for R410A0.039-0.059 inch (1.0-1.5mm)Clutch-type (Rigid-type)0.059-0.079 inch (1.5-2.0mm)Wing-nut type (Imperial-type)Conventional flare tool(Cut exactly atright angles.)
