18English10-1 Settings for external static pressure• Make settings in either method (a) or method (b).(a) Make settings with Air volume automatic adjust-ment function.“Air volume automatic adjustment” function: The air volumeis adjusted to the rated air volume automatically.CAUTION• Be sure to check that the external static pressure is withinthe specification range before making settings. The externalstatic pressure will not be automatically adjusted and airvolume insufficiency or water leakage may result if theexternal static pressure is outside the range. (Refer to thetechnical document for the setting range of external staticpressure.)(1) Check that the electrical wiring and duct work have beencompleted.(If the closing damper is set midway, be sure to check thatthe damper is opened. Furthermore, check that the airpassage on the suction side is provided with an air filter(field supply)).(2) If air conditioner has more than one air outlet and airinlet, be sure to make adjustments so that the air volumeratio of each air outlet and the corresponding air inlet willconform to the designed air volume ratio. In that case, set the operating mode to “Fan”. (In the caseof changing the air volume, press the fan speed button onthe remote controller and change the current selection to“High”, “Medium”, or “Low”.)(3) Make settings to adjust the air volume automatically. After setting the operating mode to “Fan”, set the airconditioner to field setting mode with the operation of theair conditioner stopped. Select Mode No. [21] (11 in thecase of batch settings), select FIRST CODE No. “7”, andset the SECOND CODE No. to “03”.Return to the “Basic screen” (“Normal mode” if a wirelessremote controller is used), and press the ON/OFF button. The operation lamp is lit, and the indoor unit will go intofan operation for air volume automatic adjustments (atwhich time, do not adjust the opening of the air outletor inlet). The air volume adjustments will automaticallyterminate approximately 1 to 15 minutes after the indoorunit comes into operation, and the operation lamp will beOFF and the indoor unit will come to a stop.Table 7Mode No.FIRSTCODENo.SettingcontentSECOND CODE No.01 02 0311 (21) 7Air volumeadjust-mentOFFAir volumeadjust-mentcompletionAir volumeadjust-ment start(4) After the air conditioner comes to a stop, be sure tocheck with Mode No. [21] per indoor unit that the aboveSECOND CODE No. is “02”. If the operation of the airconditioner does not stop automatically or the SECONDCODE No. is not set to “02”, repeat the setting procedurefrom (3).CAUTION• If airflow pathway changes, such as duct and air outletchanges, are made after air volume adjustments, be sure tomake “Air volume automatic adjustment” again.• If airflow pathway changes, such as duct and air outletchanges, are made after 11. TEST OPERATION or airconditioner relocation, contact your dealer.(b) Select external static pressure with the remote controller.Check with Mode No. [21] per indoor unit that the SECONDCODE No. for the above “Air volume adjustment” is set to“01” (OFF). (The SECOND CODE No. is factory set to “01”(OFF).)Change the SECOND CODE No. by referring to the tablebelow according to the external static pressure of the ductto be connected.Table 8In case of 05-48 typeExternal static pressure Mode No. FIRSTCODE No.SECONDCODE No.0.12 inWG (30 Pa) (*1)13(23) 6030.16 inWG (40 Pa) (*1) 040.20 inWG (50 Pa) 050.24 inWG (60 Pa) 060.28 inWG (70 Pa) 070.32 inWG (80 Pa) 080.36 inWG (90 Pa) 090.40 inWG (100 Pa) 100.44 inWG (110 Pa) 110.48 inWG (120 Pa) 120.52 inWG (130 Pa) 130.56 inWG (140 Pa) 140.60 inWG (150 Pa) 15(*1) The FXSQ18-48 type cannot be set to 0.12 inWG (30Pa) or 0.16 inWG (40 Pa).In case of 54 typeExternal static pressure Mode No. FIRSTCODE No.SECONDCODE No.0.20 inWG (50 Pa)13(23) 6050.24 inWG (60 Pa) 060.28 inWG (70 Pa) 070.32 inWG (80 Pa) 080.36 inWG (90 Pa) 090.40 inWG (100 Pa) 100.44 inWG (110 Pa) 110.48 inWG (120 Pa) 120.52 inWG (130 Pa) 130.56 inWG (140 Pa) 1410-2 SETTING WHEN AN OPTIONAL ACCESSORYIS ATTACHED• For setting when attaching an optional accessory, refer tothe installation manual attached to the optional accessory.10-3 SETTING FAN SPEED DURING THERMOSTATOFF• Set the fan speed according to the using environment afterconsultation with your customer.• When the fan speed is changed, explain the set fan speedto your customer.
