Furthermore, attach soundabsorbing material (thermal insulation material) tothe duct inner walls and anti-vibration rubber to thehanging bolts (refer to 8. DUCT WORK).(3) The indoor unit is set to standard external staticpressure.• If external static pressure is higher or lower than thestandard set value, the remote controller may be usedto make field setting change in the external static pres-sure.Refer to 10. FIELD SETTING.(4) Open installation holes(in the case of installation onto the existing ceiling).• Open the installation holes on the ceiling of the instal-lation location, and work on the refrigerant piping, drainpiping, remote controller wiring (unless a wireless re-mote controller is used), and wiring between the indoorand outdoor units to the piping connection port andwiring connection port of the indoor unit (refer to eachpiping and wiring procedure items).• Ceiling framework reinforcement may be required inorder to keep the ceiling horizontal and prevent ceilingvibration after opening the ceiling holes. For details, consult your building and upholstery work contractors.(5) Install the hanging bolts.• Use either a M8-M10 size bolt or equivalent.Use hole-in-anchors for the existing bolts and embed-ded inserts or foundation bolts for new bolts, and fix theindoor unit firmly to the building so that it may withstandthe weight of the unit.In addition, adjust clearance (2-4 in. (50-100 mm)) fromthe ceiling in advance.Foundation boltHanging boltIndoorunitCeiling slabLong nut orturnbuckleNote) Components shown in the figure above areall local procurement.(6) In the case of changing the preset suction to bottomside suction, replace the chamber cover and the suc-tion flange. (Refer to Fig. 5)1. Remove the suction flange and chamber cover.2. Replace the suction flange and the chamber cover.CAUTION• Secure a sufficient service space for the drain pan andelectrical components before installing the indoor unit.• Secure a sufficient service space for the filter chamber, and peripheral components before installing the indoorunit.
