DRAIN PIPING7-1 INSTALL DRAIN PIPING• Install drain piping is order to ensure proper drainage andinsulate piping in order to prevent condensation.• Keep the piping length as short as possible and slope thepipe with a gradient of 1/100 or more. Do not create any airaccumulated pocket in the piping.• Use the pipe size equivalent or larger to the pipeconnection size of the unit.• The drain connection is available from both (left and right)sides.• For the right side connection, change the drain plug fromright to left.• For piping goes through the indoor, make sure to insulatethe indoor drain socket to the end of socket.• When connecting the drain piping, insulate the drain plugon the opposite side of drain piping connection completelywith the attached insulation.• Always make a drain trap at the drain outlet.Check• After completion of drain piping, let water flow into thedrain pan and check for drain and water leakage from thepiping connection area.Drain trapUnit bottom lineInsulation fordrain plug(accessories)make adrain trapDrain trapThe end of the drain portmust be always kept in thewater to prevent backflow ofodor from the sewage.Remove the releasedpaper, and make sureto label on the unit.Drain plugIndoorunitDownward inclination1/100 or more50 mmor moreDrain plug cap(accessories)100 mmor moreDrain piping(for Left side connection)CAUTION• The connection of the drain pipingDo not directly connect the drain piping to sewerage, whichodor may smell like ammonia.Sewerage may contain it, which may pass through thedrain piping, and result in corrosion of the indoor unit heatexchanger.8. ELECTRIC WIRINGCAUTION• Install earth leakage circuit breaker. It is our obligation to mount earth leakage circuitbreaker in order to prevent accidents such as electricshocks and/or fire.• All field wiring and components must be installed by alicensed electrician and must comply with relevant localand national regulations.• Use copper conductors only.• Be sure to install an earth leakage breaker.(Failure to install an earth leakage breaker may result inelectric shocks, or fire.)• Always ground wires. (In accordance with nationalregulations of the pertinent country.)• Do not connect the ground wire to gas pipe, sewage pipe, lightning rods, or telephone ground wires.• Gas pipe: can explode or catch fire if there is a gasleak.• Sewage pipes: no grounding effect is possible if hardplastic piping is used.• Telephone ground wires and lighting rods: dangerouswhen struck by lighting due to abnormal rise inelectrical potential in the grounding.• The field wiring must be carried out in accordance with thewiring diagrams and the instructions given below.• If the fan rotates reversely, change the connection of twopower supply wires out of three.• For connection to the terminal block, use ring type crimpstyle terminal suitable for the wire size.• Do not close the branch switch and overcurrent circuitbreaker until all the works are completed.
