Procedure to Remove Compressor Si24132010 Removal Procedure4. Procedure to Remove CompressorProcedure Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all powersupplies before disassembling work.Step Procedure Points1. Remove the compressor.1 Unscrew the nut of thecompressor. Before working, make sure that therefrigerant is emptyin the circuit. Be sure to applynitrogenreplacement whenheating up thebrazed part.WarningVentilate when refrigerantleaks during the work.(If refrigerant contacts fire, itwill cause to arise toxic gas.) Provide a protective sheet ora steel plate so that thebrazing flame cannotinfluence peripheries. Be careful so as not to burnthe compressor terminals orthe name plate. Be careful so as not to burnthe heat exchanger fin.WarningSince it may happen thatrefrigeration oil in thecompressor will catch fire, prepare wet cloth so as toextinguish fire immediately. In case of the difficulty withgas brazing machine1. Disconnect the brazed partwhere is easy to disconnectand restore.2. Cut pipes on the mainoutdoor unit by a miniaturecopper tube cutter in order tomake it easy to disconnect.Cautions for restoration1. Restore the piping by non-oxidation brazing.2. It is required to prevent thecarbonization of the oil insidethe four way valve and thedeterioration of the gasketsaffected by heat. For thesake of this, wrap the fourway valve with wet cloth andprovide water so that thecloth will not be dried andavoid excessive heating.(Keep below 120°C)Note: Do not use a metalsaw for cutting pipes by allmeans because the sawdustcome into the circuit.2 Heat up the brazed partof the discharge sideand disconnect.3 Heat up the brazed partof the suction side anddisconnect.
