Field Setting SiUS28-902_B64 Test Operation3.4 Detail of Setting Mode3.4.1 Cool / Heat Mode SwitchingThe Cool / Heat Mode switching is carried out by remote controller fitted to indoor unit. This setting is not required for normal operation. (Factory setting)3.4.2 Setting of Low Noise Operation and Demand OperationSetting of Low Noise OperationBy connecting the external contact input to the low noise input of the outdoor unit externalcontrol adaptor (optional), you can lower operating noise by 2-3 dB.A. When the low noise operation is carried out by external contact (with the use of theexternal control adaptor for outdoor unit)1. Connect external control adaptor for outdoor unit and short-circuit terminal of low noise(Refer below figure). If carrying out demand or low noise input, connect the adaptor’s terminals as shown below.2. While in "Setting mode 2", set the setting condition for set item No. 12 (Setting of externallow noise/demand operation) to "YES".3. If necessary, while in "Setting mode 2", select the setting condition (i.e., "Mode 1", "Mode 2",or "Mode 3") for set item No. 25 (Setting of external low noise level).4. If necessary, while in "Setting mode 2", set the setting condition for the set item No. 29(Setting of capacity precedence) to "ON".(If the condition is set to "ON", when the air conditioning load reaches a high level, the lownoise operation command will be ignored to put the system into normal operation mode.)B. When the low noise operation is carried out automatically at night (The externalcontrol adaptor for outdoor unit is not required)1. While in "Setting mode 2", select the setting condition (i.e., "Mode 1", "Mode 2", or "Mode 3")for set item No. 22 (Setting of low night noise level).2. If necessary, while in "Setting mode 2", select the setting condition (i.e., "20:00", "22:00", or"24:00") for set item No. 26 (Setting of start time of low night noise operation).(Use the start time as a guide since it is estimated according to outdoor temperatures.)Setting ContentMode 1 Set the outdoor unit fan to Step 6 or lower.Mode 2 Set the outdoor unit fan to Step 5 or lower.Mode 3 Set the outdoor unit fan to Step 4 or lower.XXXXX X X X X XF1F2P3P41 2 3 CDemandExternal controladaptor foroutdoor unitHost computermonitor panelor demandcontrollerLownoiseOutside wiring indicatedby dotted line
