English 910 WIRING EXAMPLE AND HOW TO SETTHE REMOTE CONTROLLER10. 1 OPENING AND SHUTTING THE ELECTRICPARTS BOX AND CONNECTING THE WIRINGCAUTIONBe sure to power off before opening the electric parts box.• Remove the electric parts box lid and wire as shown in thefigure below.CAUTION• See “Electrical Wiring Diagram label” on the backside of thelid of the electric parts box for electric wiring work.• Be sure to attach the sealing material or putty (locally pro-cured) to hole of wiring to prevent the infiltration of water aswell as any insects and other small creatures from outside.Otherwise a short-circuit may occur inside the electric partsbox.• When clamping the wires, be sure no pressure is applied tothe wire connections by using the included clamping materialto make appropriate clamps. Also, when wiring, make surethe lid on the electric parts box fits snugly by arranging thewires neatly and attaching the electric parts box lid firmly. When attaching the electric parts box lid, make sure no wiresget caught in the edges. Pass wiring through the wiringthrough holes to prevent damage to them.• Make sure the remote controller wiring, the wiring betweenthe units, and other electrical wiring do not pass through thesame locations outside of the unit, separating them by at least50mm, otherwise electrical noise (external static) couldcause mistaken operation or breakage.10. 2 Connecting power supply wiring and groundwiring• Pass the power supply wiring and the ground wiring throughthe wiring through-hole into the electrical parts box andsecure with the included clamping material after connectingthe wires to terminal blocks. (Refer to Fig. 17-1, 17-2)〈〈〈〈Precautions when laying power supply wiring〉〉〉〉[PRECAUTIONS][1] A circuit breaker capable of shutting down power supply tothe entire system must be installed.[2] A single switch can be used to supply power to units on thesame system. However branch switches, branch overload circuit interruptermust be selected carefully.[3] Fit the power supply wiring of each unit with a switch andfuse as shown in the drawing.COMPLETE SYSTEM EXAMPLESS1X1MX3MA3PA1PA2PNOR.MHElectric partsbox lidSpace for installation ofadapter PC board (KRP2A1)Space forinstallation ofadapter PC board(KRP50-2)Factroy settingPower supply wiringand Ground wiring Power wiring through-holeTransmission wiringthrough-holeDo not change the switch settings.NOTE) A3P: VKM-GMV1 series onlySS1 is the switch for settingthe remote controller. The unit will not run if the settingsare changed.Clamp(accessory)Resin Clamp partsShort-circuit wireRemove when installingthe humidistat(locally procured).Wiring for thehumidistatClampResin Clamp partsResin Clamp partsPower supply wiringGround wiring(accessory)1 2 L NL NGrounging terminalTerminal block (X1M) details〈 VKM-GMV1 series 〉(M4 screws, springwashers, cup washers)Fig. 17-1ClampPower supply wiringGround wiring(accessory)Grounging terminalTerminal block (X1M) details〈 VKM-GV1 series 〉(M4 screws, springwashers, cup washers)Fig. 17-2Power supply wiringSheathed cable(H05VV-03G)Transmission wiringSheathed cableSwitchFusePower supplyRemote controllerVRVIndoor unitVRVIndoor unitVRVOutdoor unitHRV (VKM)HRV (VKM)
