Installation manual5 RXYSQ4~6P7V3B + RXYSQ4~6P7Y1BVRVIII-S system air conditioner4PW35338-16. INSTALLATION SERVICING SPACE■ The connection piping outlet direction in the installation shown infigure 4 is frontward or downward. The unit of numeric values ismm.■ When routing the piping backward, secure space of ≥250 mm onthe right side of the unit.(A) In case of non-stacked installation (See figure 4)(B) In case of stacked installation1. In case obstacles exist in front of the outlet side.2. In case obstacles exist in front of the air inlet.(C) In case of multiple-row installation (for roof top use, etc.)1. In case of installing one unit per row.2. In case of installing multiple units (2 units or more) in lateralconnection per row.Relation of dimensions between H, A and L is shown in the tablebelow.7. REFRIGERANT PIPE SIZE AND ALLOWABLEPIPE LENGTHNOTE If drain holes of the outdoor unit are covered by amounting base or by floor surface, raise the unit inorder to provide a free space of more than 100 mmunder the outdoor unit.Suction side obstacle 1 In these cases, close thebottom of the installationframe to prevent thedischarged air frombeing bypassedDischarge side obstacleLeft side obstacle 2 In these cases, only 2units can be installed.Right side obstacle 3 In these cases, norestriction of height L1.Top side obstacle This situation is notallowed✓ Obstacle is presentNOTE ■ Do not stack more than one unit.■ About 100 mm is required as the dimensionfor laying the upper outdoor unit's drain pipe.■ Get the portion A sealed so that air from theoutlet does not bypass.≥1000100A≥300 100AL AL≤H 0≤1/2H 2501/2H≤H 300H Installation impossibleAll field piping must be installed by a licensed refrigerationtechnician and must comply with relevant local andnational regulations. To persons in charge of piping work:■ Be sure to open the stop valve after piping installingand vacuuming is complete. (Running the system withthe valve closed may break the compressor.)■ It is forbidden to discharge refrigerant into theatmosphere. Collect the refrigerant in accordancewith the freon collection and destruction law.■ Do not use flux when brazing the refrigerant piping. For brazing, use phosphor copper brazing filler metal(BCuP) which does not require a flux.(If a chlorine flux is used, the piping will corrode, and ifthe flux contains fluoride, it will cause the coolant oil todeteriorate, adversely affecting the coolant pipingsystem.≥1000≥200≥2000≥100≥1500≥600≥3000AHL
