5.8 Refill waterLeaks on the consumers side will result in falling static pressure andthereby a poor supply of heating. A refill water function can injectwater to increase the static pressure. This application can monitor the static pressure and enable therefill water function when the pressure is too low.The pressure is measured by means of a pressure transmitter(giving a 0 - 10 volt signal in relation to the measured pressure) ora pressure switch. When a pressure transmitter signal is used, two settings in thecontroller represent pressure setpoint and difference. When a pressure switch signal is used, the setpoint and (maybe)the switching difference is set on the pressure switch. When a too low pressure is detected the refill water pump isswitched ON and, after a set time, the ON-OFF valve is activated. If the pressure is not achieved within a set time, an alarm isgenerated. The ECL Comfort controller switches OFF the circulationpumps after 60 seconds and the control valve closes (a safetyfunction).MENU > Settings > Refill waterPressureCircuit Setting range Factory setting1 Read-out onlyThe read-out can be a value (in bar):• The pressure is measured by means of a pressure transmitter. The transmitter sends the measured pressure as a 0-10 V or a4-20 mA signal. The voltage signal can be applied directly toinput S10. A current signal is converted by means of a resistorto a voltage and then applied to input S10. The measuredvoltage on input S10 must be converted to a pressure value bythe controller. This procedure sets up the scaling.Push the dial to see the graph and enter the value sets for theinput voltage (2 and 10 volt) and displayed pressure (in bar).Pressure value range: 0.0 ... 30.0 barFixed voltage settings: 2 V and 10 VFactory settings: (2.0,0) and (10,20.0)This means that the ‘Pressure' is 0.0 bar at 2 V and 20.0 bar at10 V.Typically, the higher the voltage, the higher the displayedpressure.Or the read-out can be OFF or ON:• The pressure is measured by means of a pressure switch. Thepressure switch has an open contact when measuring a too lowpressure (shown as OFF). When measured pressure is OK, thecontact is closed (shown as ON).The pressure switch contact (potential free) is connecteddirectly to input S10.X = VoltY = Bar#1# = 0 bar#2# = 30,0 barThis scaling menu is always shown, regardless whether a pressuretransmitter or a pressure switch is used.78 | © Danfoss | 2017.11 VI.LG.P2.02Operating Guide ECL Comfort 210 / 310, application A231 / A331
