This ensures enough spacefor a proper air flow around the radiator.Mounting a radiator in the ceiling will in most casesrequire a forced air flow by means of a ventilator toprevent overheating.5.1.3.5 Mounting on horizontalsurfacesWhen the radiator has to be positioned a horizontalsurface (e.g. on top of an interpreter booth), the distancebetween the radiator and the surface must be at least 4cm (1.5 inch) to enable enough air flow around theradiator. This can be achieved by using the suspension bracket asa support. If this is not possible, switch the radiator tohalf power. If the radiator is used at full power on top ofan interpreter booth, the ambient temperature must notexceed 35° C.5.1.4 Connecting radiators to thetransmitterThe transmitter has six BNC HF Output connectorslabelled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the rear panel. All sixoutputs are functionally identical. They can each drive upto 30 radiators (RA 6013 and/or RA 6025) in a loop-through configuration. The radiators are connected withRG59 cables. The maximum cable length per output is900 m (2970 ft) to the last radiator.Automatic cable termination is achieved by a built-inswitch in the BNC connectors on the radiator.Notes:• For the automatic cable termination to work, neverleave an open-ended cable connected to the last radiatorin a loop-through chain.• When connecting infra-red radiators, do not split thecable, else the system will not function correctly.
