DS6500422Multi P.S. (This system configuration will be available soon). In this layout, up to 7 DS6500 slave readers have their own P.S. and therefore multiplereading phases, while the P.S. activating the master reader is managed by the C-BOX 100.The master sends all the individual messages collected from the multidrop line as well as itsown to the C-BOX 100 which passes them to the Local Host. The following image shows a system consisting of four readers, where the fourth one mustbe connected to a dedicated power supply by means of a C-BOX 100, since a singleC-BOX 100 can supply groups consisting of maximum 3 readers. This means that the cable(CAB611X) connecting two different groups, in this case the cable connecting Slave 2andSlave 3, does not propagate power.Figure 68 – Multi P.S. with more than 3 Readers2.7.6 Fieldbus NetworkThe Fieldbus (Ethernet, Profibus and DeviceNet) model offers connectivity without anyconverter or adapter needed. The DS6500 master Fieldbus communicates with a remote host (for ex. remote PCconnected via Internet) by means of a cable connected to the Fieldbus (Ethernet, Profibus orDeviceNet) connector provided. The local Lonworks 9-pin female connector connects the Fieldbus master reader to the firstslave reader of the system, while the 26 D-sub male connector may be connected to theC-BOX 100 to supply the reader. The slave readers (DS6500 master/slave models) are connected together through the localLonworks connectors. Only the 9-pin female connector of the last slave reader must beterminated by the BTK-6000 terminator. No terminator must be inserted in the Fieldbusmaster reader, since it is internally integrated.P.S.P.S.P.S.P.S.Slave 1 MasterSlave 2Slave 3CAB610XCAB611XPWR-120C-BOX 100CAB610XC-BOX 100CAB600XLocal Host
