Wedge Quiet IntervalProduct Reference Guide 257Wedge Quiet IntervalThis option specifies the amount of time to look for keyboard activity before the readerbreaks the keyboard connection in order to transmit data to host. The selectable range forthis feature is from 0 to 990ms in 10ms increments.Follow these instructions to set this feature:1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.2. Divide the desired setting by 10 (setting is in 10ms increments). Pad the result with lead-ing zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.3. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to enter ProgrammingMode.4. Scan the bar code: SELECT WEDGE QUIET INTERVAL SETTING.5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix E, Keypad, that representthe duration which was determined in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indica-tion after the last character.6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit ProgrammingMode.This completes the procedure to set the Wedge Quiet Interval.
