Childrenshould be supervised to ensure that they do not play with theappliance.• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.• The areas surrounding the bread slots become very hot during use:operating the toaster should be carried out touching only the plasticcontrols.• Bread is a foodstuff which may catch fire. Do not usethis appliance under or next to curtains or other combustiblematerial.• Do not cover the appliance while it is in use.• Do not use the appliance with bare or wet feet.• Unplug the appliance from the electrical socket when it is not in use.• Do not unplug the appliance from the outlet by pulling on thecord.• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the elements, (rain,direct sunlight, frost, etc.).• Before doing any cleaning unplug the appliance from the electri-cal socket. Do not immerse the appliance, the plug, or the elec-trical cable in water.• In case of breakage or improper cable functioning of the appli-ance, turn off the appliance without tampering with it. For nec-essary repairs or replacement of the electrical cable, consult thetechnical service centre authorised by the manufacturer.• As with any electrical appliance, whilst the instructions aim tocover as many eventualities as possible, caution and commonsense should be applied when opearating your appliance, partic-ularly in the vicinity of young children.This appliance conforms to the Directive 89/336/CEE relative to elec-tromagnetic compatibility.The materials and the objects destined for contact with food products arein compliance with the regulations of the EEC directive 89/109.IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSALOF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ECDIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.At the end of its working life, the product must not be dis-posed of as urban waste.It must be taken to a special local authority differentiatedwaste collection centre or to a dealer providing this servi-ce. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoidspossible negative consequences for the environment andhealth deriving from inappropriate disposal and enablesthe constituent materials to be recovered to obtainsignificant savings in energy and resources.As a reminderof the need to dispose of household appliances separa-tely, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeleddustbin.6
