19ADVICE FOR SAFE USE OF THEHOB• Before switching on make sure thatyou have the correct knob for thehotplate chosen. It is advisable toput the pan on the hotplate beforeswitching on and to take it away afterswitching off.• Use cookware with flat and evenbottoms. Uneven bottoms can scratchthe glass ceramic surfaces. Be carefulthat the bottom is clean and dry.• Do not leave wet or damp lids on thebob.• The glass-ceramic surface and pansmust be clean. Carefully eliminate anyfood remains (especially containingsugar), dirt etc. with the aid of acleansing agent.• Make sure that the handles of cookwaredo not stick out over the edge of thecooker, to avoid them being knockedover by accident. This also makes itmore difficult for children to reachthe cooking vessels.• Do not lean over the cooking zoneswhen they are switched on.• Do not drop heavy or sharp objectson the glass ceramic cooktop. If thesurface is broken or damagedunplug the cooktop and contact theafter-sales service.• Do not put aluminium foil or plasticobjects on the cooking zones whenthey are hot.• Follow the cleaning instructionscarefully.DO NOT USE PANS WITH ROUGHCIRCULAR MACHINED BASE.Fig. 3.4Fig. 3.3
