10The appliance is ready for use only after comple-tion of this cycle.Danger of burns!During rinsing, a little hot water comes out ofthe coffee spouts and is collected in the drip trayunderneath.Avoid contact with splashes of water.UÊ /ÊÌÕÀÊÌiÊ>««>ViÊ]Ê«ÀiÃÃÊÌiÊ but-ton (fig. 4). Press and hold the ECO button until the 5lights at the back of the control panel comeon.2. Select the required period of time (15 or 30minutes or 1, 2 or 3 hours) by pressing thebutton (see the light/time table).15min 30min 1h 2h 3h.3. Press the ECO button to confirm the selec-tion and return to normal use of the applian-ce.Auto-off is programmed.Please note:To disconnect the appliance completely, placethe main switch at the back of the appliance inthe 0 position (fig. 6).ENERGY SAVINGEnergy saving mode reduces energy consum-ption in compliance with current European regu-lations.To activate or deactivate this mode, press theECO button. After a period of inactivity, if ECOmode is active the ECO button light comes on.This mode is active by default.Please note:A few seconds may elapse between energy sa-ving mode and delivery of the first coffee.MAKING COFFEESelecting the coffee tasteTurn the knob to select the required taste. Tur-ning it clockwise increases the quantity of coffeebeans the appliance will grind and therefore thestrength of the coffee obtained.The first time you use the appliance, you willneed to make a number of coffees to identify thecorrect knob position through trial and error.Make sure not to turn the knob too far clockwise,otherwise the coffee may be delivered too slowly(a drop at a time), particularly when making twocups of coffee.
