Any action that the manufacturerhas to take as a result of an erroneousinstallation will not be covered by thewarranty.The hob may only be installed to the mainspower supply by a qualified technician.DANGER Prior to installation,visually check if the product hasany defects on it. If so, do nothave it installed. Damagedproducts are a safety risk.DANGER The product must beinstalled in accordance with alllocal electrical regulations.Preparation of location andelectrical installation for theappliance is the customer’sresponsibility.Risk of broken glass!Do not put the ceramic hob downon a corner or edge.Before installationThe hob is designed for installation in acommercial worktop. A safety distance mustbe left between the appliance and thekitchen walls and furniture. See figureoverleaf (values in mm).x It can also be used in a free standingposition. Allow a minimum distance of 750mm above the hob surface.x (*) If a cooker hood is to be installedabove the cooker, refer to cooker hoodmanufacturer' instructions regardinginstallation height (min 650 mm)x Remove packaging materials andtransport locks.x Surfaces, synthetic laminates andadhesives used must be heat resistant(100 °C minimum).x The worktop must be aligned and fixedhorizontally.x Cut aperture for the hob in worktop as perinstallation dimensions.Cupboard designCooking appliances generate considerableheat. The layout and materials of themounting cabinet should take account ofthese characteristics.Surfaces and surrounding edgesimmediately adjacent to the hob should beable to withstand temperatures of up to 100°C without delaminating or discolouring.Connection to the power supply must becarried out by a qualified electrician, who willensure that the hob is correctly connectedand safely earthed. The rated current isprinted on the serial number label attachedto the base cover. The hob must beconnected to the mains through a doublepole isolating switch which has a minimumclearance between the contacts of 3 mm. inboth poles. A means for disconnection mustbe provided in the fixed wiring.This appliance must be earthedand the manufacturer and theseller do not acceptresponsibility for any damage dueto incorrect installation or electricalconnection.DANGER Risk of electric shock,short circuit or fire by damageof the mains lead!The mains lead must not beclamped, bent or trapped or comeinto contact with hot parts of thehob. If the mains lead is damaged,it must be replaced by a qualifiedelectrician.Installation and connectionThe appliance must be installed inaccordance with national electricalregulations. The mains supply data mustcorrespond to the data specified on the typelabel of the appliance.
