Clear the area of bystanders and remove foreignobjects from the machine and working area.2. Make sure there is enough room to back the tractorup to the trailer hitch.3. Start the tractor and slowly back it up to the hitch point.4. Connect the hydraulic.• Use a clean cloth or paper towel to clean the couplerson the ends of the hoses. Also clean the area aroundthe couplers on the tractor. Remove the plastic plugsfrom the couplers and insert the male ends.• Be sure to match the pressure and return line to onevalve bank.• Hoses have be labelled in a suggested order ofpriority from most used to least:(1) Depth (2) Wings 3) Transport (4) Jack5. Use the hydraulic jack controls to raise or lower thehitch to align with the drawbar.IMPORTANT: Close the ball valve to prevent accidentaloperation of this circuit. Ensure ball valve handle remainsin closed position.WARNING: Tractor MUST be equipped with a clevishitch to prevent unit from tipping upward while foldinginto and out of transport. A safety chain must alsoalways be properly installed.6. Slowly back tractor up to align the hitch.7. Install a drawbar pin with provisions for a mechanicalretainer such as a KLIK pin. Install the retainer.8. Install a safety chain between the tractor and the hitch.9. Connect lights (electrical socket plug) to tractor.10. Raise the hydraulic hitch jack.11. When unhooking from the tractor, reverse the aboveprocedure.HOOK-UP / UNHOOKINGHook-UpWARNING/DANGER: Never disconnect Pro-Tillfrom tractor if rear sections of machine are partiallyraised. Negative Hitch Weight may result, the hitchpole may suddenly raise, and the rear section wouldcome crashing down. Only disconnect when unit is onlevel ground in the proper transport or field position.WARNING/DANGER: Tractor MUST be properlyequipped with a clevis hitch and safety chain toprevent Negative Hitch Weight occurring whenraising or lowering the rear sections. If the unit is notproperly attached to the tractor with a clevis hitch andsafety chain, the negative hitch weight could result inthe hitch pole suddenly raising and the rear section tocome crashing down.
