-6-142646 - Strawmaster PRO (21-June-2018)OperationIMPORTANT: After either raising orlowering the Hydraulic Jack, close the ball valveto prevent accidental operation of the circuit.Ensure ball valve handle remains inclosed position when not in use.The Strawmaster Pro should always be parked ona level, dry area that is free of debris and foreignobjects. Follow this procedure to hook-up:1. Clear the area of bystanders and removeforeign objects from the machine and workingarea.2. Make sure there is enough room to back thetractor up to the trailer hitch.3. Start the tractor and slowly back it up to thehitch point.4. Stop the tractor engine, place all controls inneutral, set park brake and remove ignition keybefore dismounting.5. Connect the hydraulics. To connect, proceed asfollows:• Use a clean cloth or paper towel to clean thecouplers on the ends of the hoses. Also cleanthe area around the couplers on the tractor.Remove the plastic plugs from the couplers andinsert the male ends.• Be sure to match the pressure and return line toone valve bank.6. Use the hydraulic jack to raise or lower the hitchto align with the drawbar.HOOK-UP / UNHOOKING7. Install a drawbar pin with provisions for amechanical retainer such as a KLIK pin.Install the retainer.8. Install a safety chain between the tractor andthe hitch.9. Connect lights (electricalsocket plug) to tractor.10. Raise the hitchjack to place infield position.11. Close the ball valve to prevent accidentaloperation of this circuit. Ensure ball valvehandle remains in closed position.12. When unhooking from the tractor, reverse theabove procedure.
