Ifyou encounter a problem that is difficult to solve, even after having read through this troubleshooting section,please call your local dealer or distributor. Before you call, have this manual and the serial number from yourunit ready.PROBLEMGrille creeps downduring operation.Grille raises too slowly.Loaded box will not liftfor dumping.Oil accumulation oncylinder shaft.Excessive picking ofdirt.Excessive rock pile-upat bottom of grille.Paddle teeth contactgrille teeth.CAUSETractor hydraulic leak.Damaged hose or loosefittings.Hydraulic cylinder leak.Hydraulic pressure fromtractor too low.Restriction in hose.External hydraulic leak.Hydraulic cylinder leak.Oil bypassing seals.Grille set to low.Reel speed too slow inrelation to forwardtravel.Worn reel springs orinadequate springtension.Excessive torque limiterslippage (PTO models).Reel misaligned.Bent teeth.SOLUTIONTo verify, raise grille, disconnect at tractor and observe if grillecreeps down. If not, repair tractor hydraulics.Search for leaks with a piece of paper (not by hand). Repair asnecessary.Replace seals or damaged components.Check pressure, should be 1500-2500 psi.Disconnect & blow out lines with compressed air.Repair as needed.Replace seals or damaged components.Seal manufacturer advises that small amounts of oil getting pastseals is desirable. If problem becomes excessive, replace seals.Maintain grille just skimming ground.Change tractor gear range and/or hydraulic flow control valvesetting.Replace springs.Check and adjust unit.Realign reel.Straighten teeth.
