DEKKER Vacuum Technologies, Inc. – Vmax/July 2016 38DevarnishingThe operating life of the unit is greatly enhanced based on the quality of the seal fluid. Oxidized or darkenedseal fluid is a sign of trouble. Plugged filters reduce performance and may damage pump. Periodicmaintenance will offer the best protection for your equipment.DEKKER offers a specially formulated devarnishing compound Proclean 39V for oil-sealed liquid ringpumps and systems. Procedure for using Proclean 39V and MSDS sheet are included with the product. Thecompound is available in the following quantities:Proclean 39V (part no.: 5230-0010-000) – 1 gallonProclean 39V (part no.: 5230-0050-000) – 5 gallonProclean 39V (part no.: 5230-0055-000) – 55 gallonNOTE: Varnished pumps are not covered under warranty.Accessories and Protective Devices (if included)Accessories (Optional)The following accessories are available for Vmax oil-sealed liquid ring vacuum pump systems. Inlet or Discharge Flexible Connectors (optional): These flex connectors are used in pipingsystems to eliminate vibration transmission from machinery throughout the piping network. Vibration Isolators (optional): Vibration isolaters are used to eliminate vibrations, noise andshock transmission from machinery to the floor. Floor-mount type vibration isolators are used forVmax vacuum pump systems. System Isolation Valve (optional): This valve may be installed on the vacuum receiver tank orvacuum pump manifold. Usually the valve is used to isolate the vacuum system from the pipingnetwork. Inlet Filter (optional): An inlet filter may be installed on the Vmax oil-sealed vacuum pumpsystems to prevent carry-over of particles into the pump. Vacuum Relief Valve (optional): This valve may be installed on the pump suction manifold oron the receiver. The vacuum relief valve is used to protect the vacuum pump from closed suctionwhich can damage the pump. Vacuum Setpoint Control (optional): This control is used to automatically switch thevacuum pump ON and OFF, based on demand. This is standard on all multiplex systems butoptional with simplex systems.Protective DevicesThe following protective devices are available to protect the unit from being damaged and to help withmaintenance: High Temperature Warning: will signal when the temperature of the oil is exceeding the warninglevel. The DEKKER Controller will warn that the unit is approaching high temperature shut-downlevel. The unit will not shutdown but will flash warning on the DEKKER Controller LCD. Thetemperature is read using an RTD and once the warning programming parameter is reached thewarning will trigger. The temperature will need to drop below the warning trigger for the message togo away. High Temperature Shutdown: will signal when the temperature of the oil is exceeding the shut-down level. The DEKKER Controller will shut the unit down and the High Disch Temp shutdown willappear on the DEKKER Controller LCD. The unit will not restart until the alarm condition isacknowledged and is reset. The temperature is read using an RTD and once shutdown programmingparameter is reached the shutdown will occur.
