Gasketcleaning can be done with the use of warm soapy water.Avoid full strength cleaning products on gaskets as this cancause them to become brittle and prevent proper seals. Also, never use sharp tools or knives to scrape or clean the gasketwhich could possibly tear the gasket and rip the bellows.Gaskets can easily be replaced and do not require the use oftools or authorized service persons. The gaskets are “Dart”style and can be pulled out of the grove in the door and newgaskets can be “pressed” back into place.Doors/HingesOver time and with heavy use doors the hinges may becomeloose. If it is noticed that the door is beginning to sag, itmay become necessary to tighten the screws that mount thehinge brackets to the frame of the unit. If the doors are looseor sagging this can cause the hinge to pull out of the framewhich may damage both the doors and the door hinges. In some cases this can require qualified service agents ormaintenance personnel. If it becomes necessary to adjust a door, follow theseinstructions:1. If the door needs lowering at the handle, use a 5/16”wrench to loosen the hinge screws and install a spaceroutside of the hinge (see illustration 1). Tighten thescrews.2. If the door needs to be higher at the handle, use a 5/16”wrench to loosen the hinge screws and install a spacerinside of the hinge (see illustration 2). Tighten the screws.Drain MaintenanceEach unit has a drain located inside the unit which removesthe condensation from the evaporator coil and evaporates itat an external condensate evaporator pan. Each drain canbecome loose or disconnected from moving or bumping thedrain. If you notice excessive water accumulation on theinside of the unit be sure the drain tube is connected fromthe evaporator housing to the condensate evaporator drainpan. If water is collected underneath the unit you may wantto check the condensate evaporator drain tube to be sureit is still located inside the drain pan. The leveling of theunit is important as the units are designed to drain properlywhen on a level surface, if your floor is not level this canalso cause drain problems. Be sure all drain lines are free ofobstructions, typically food product is found blocking drainlines causing water to back up and overflow the drain pans.Service AlertDuring normal operation the evaporator fan may cycleand/or pulse independently of the compressor. Consultthe service manual or contact Technical Support at1-800-733-8829 if you are unsure of the proper function.Illustration 1:spacer outsideIllustration 2:spacer insideMaintenance, continued
