You must enter the Service Tag in the BIOS setup program afteryou replace the system board.NOTE: Replacing the system board removes any changes you havemade to the BIOS using the BIOS setup program. You must make theappropriate changes again after you replace the system board.Procedure1 Place the system board on the chassis.2 Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes in thechassis.3 Replace the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.4 Connect the serial-port cable, SATA data-cable, and SATA power-cableto the connectors on the system board.Post-requisites1 Replace the CPU board.2 Replace the heat sink.3 Replace the top cover.4 Replace the riser card.5 Replace the intrusion switch.6 Replace the CANbus card or WWAN card.7 Replace the WLAN card.8 Replace the SIM card.9 Replace the PCI/PCIe card (if necessary).109
