Dell warrants that the hardwareproducts it manufactures will be free from defects in materials andworkmanship. The limited warranty term is one year beginning on the dateof invoice, as further described in the following text.Damage due to shipping the products to you is covered under this limitedwarranty. Otherwise, this limited warranty does not cover damage due toexternal causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electricalpower, servicing not authorized by Dell, usage not in accordance withproduct instructions, failure to perform required preventive maintenance,and problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by Dell.This limited warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more ofthe following categories: software; external devices (except as specificallynoted); accessories or parts added to a Dell system after the system isshipped from Dell; accessories or parts added to a Dell system throughDellís system integration department; accessories or parts that are notinstalled in the Dell factory; or DellWareô products. Monitors, keyboards,and mice that are Dell-branded or that are included on Dellís standard pricelist are covered under this limited warranty; all other monitors, keyboards,and mice (including those sold through the DellWare program) are notcovered.Dell will repair or replace products covered under this limited warranty thatare returned to Dellís facility. To request warranty service, you must contactDellís Customer Technical Support within the limited warranty period. SeeìContacting Dellî on page 73 to find the appropriate contact informationfor obtaining customer assistance. If warranty service is required, Dell willissue a Return Material Authorization Number. You must ship the productsback to Dell in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shippingcharges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage duringshipment. Dell will ship the repaired or replacement products to you(freight prepaid) if you use an address in the continental U.S., whereapplicable. Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect.
