50Restoring Your Operating SystemYou can restore your operating system in thefollowing ways:System• Restore returns your computer to anearlier operating state without affecting datafiles. Use System Restore as the first solutionfor restoring your operating system andpreserving data files.Dell• Factory Image Restore returns your harddrive to the operating state it was in whenyou purchased the computer. This procedurepermanently deletes all data on the harddrive and remove any programs installedafter you received the computer. However, using theOperating System disc also deletes all dataon the hard drive.
