Damage due to servicing that isnot authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructionsthat came with the product.1. Ensure that you follow the Safety instructions.2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.NOTE: Observe the routing of the power and data cable inside the chassis as you remove themfrom the system board and the optical drive. Route these cables in the same way when you replacethem to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.Steps1. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the optical drive.2. If required, disconnect the power and data cables from the system board.3. To release the optical drive, press and push the release tab toward the front of the system.4.
