NOTE: For systems installed with the wheel assembly, ensure that you lay the system on a sturdy, stablesurface with the wheel assembly extending off the edge of the surface.3. Open the system.4. Remove the PCIe card holder.5. Locate the x16 slot on the system board.6. From inside the system, press and push out the expansion card release latch for the x16 slot.NOTE: If you are installing a double-width GPU card, you must open the two expansion card latches to securethe card.7. If applicable, remove the filler brackets.8. Insert the GPU card into the x16 slot.9. From outside the system, rotate the expansion card latch(es) toward the system until it snaps into place.10. Connect the cables to the GPU card.11. Install the PCIe card holder.12. Close the system.13. If applicable, place the system upright on a flat, stable surface and rotate the system feet outward.14. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.iDRAC Ports CardThe iDRAC ports card consists of the SD vFlash card slot and an iDRAC port. The iDRAC ports card is used for advancedmanagement of the system.An SD vFlash card is a Secure Digital (SD) card that plugs into the SD vFlash card slot in the system. It providespersistent on-demand local storage and a custom deployment environment that allows automation of serverconfiguration, scripts, and imaging. It emulates USB device(s). Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet andperipherals.2. Open the system.4. Remove the cooling shroud.5. Remove the screw securing the iDRAC ports card to the back of the chassis.6. Pull the iDRAC ports card to disengage it from the iDRAC ports card connector and remove the card from thechassis.7. If you are not replacing the iDRAC ports card, insert the filler bracket and secure it with a screw.NOTE: Filler brackets must be installed over empty card slots to maintain FCC certification of the system. Thebrackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system.91
