SCSI cables may be loose. SCSI terminators may be missing or loose. The SCSI terminator might not be at the end of thebus or there may be more than two terminatorspresent. The SCSI bus may be too long. Too many devices may be on the bus. Your system may not be configured to recognize theelectronics module or tape drive SCSI IDs.1. Are the SCSI cables properlyconnected?Yes: Go to step 2.No: Reseat the connectors.2. Are there SCSI terminators at bothends of the bus?Yes: Go to step 3.No: Add SCSI terminators.3. Are there more than twoterminators present?Yes: Go to step 4.No: Remove extra terminators so there are no morethan two present.4. Is the length of the SCSI buswithin specification?Yes: Go to step 5.No: Connect a shorter SCSI cable.5. Are there more than the maximumpermitted number of devices onthe SCSI bus?Yes: Go to step 6.No: Check the library and drive configurations for validIDs.6.
