Use both handswhen removing.3 Press the release tab inward and grasp the handle on the power supply,carefully pulling the module out of the bay (see Figure 3-6).NOTICE: The power-supply handle is provided to ease the task of pulling themodule from the bay. Do not use this handle to carry the module, or use it to carrythe enclosure itself.Installing a Power Supply/Cooling Fan Module1 Carefully slide the new power supply/cooling fan module approximatelytwo-thirds of the way into the empty bay.2 Gently push the module all the way to the back of the bay until it is firmlyseated in the backplane connector.NOTE: If the enclosure is powered on, all power supply LEDs (see Figure 1-7)remain off until you connect the AC power cable to the power supply and turnon the on/off switch.3 Connect the AC power cable to the new power supply and to an electricaloutlet.4 Turn on the on/off switch on the new power supply.Removing and Installing the Control PanelThe control panel powers the LED indicators on the front panel of thesystem, as well as the Enclosure Mode Selection switch. It is connected to thebackplane and cannot be removed or replaced unless the system is powereddown.CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the systemcover and access any of the components inside the system.
