15Using Your Studio XPS™ 435MT4 Optical drive eject button — Press toeject a disk from the optical drive.5 IEEE 1394 connector — Connectsto high-speed serial multimedia devicessuch as digital video cameras.6 Headphone connector — Connectsto headphones.NOTE: To connect to a poweredspeaker or sound system, use theaudio out or S/PDIF connector on theback of your computer.7 Line-in or microphone connector —Connects to a microphone for voice or toan audio cable for audio input.8 Power button and light — Turns thepower on or off when pressed. The lightin the center of this button indicates thepower state:Blinking white — the computer is in•sleep state.Solid white — the computer is in•power-on state.Blinking amber — there may be a•problem with the system board.Solid amber — there may be a•problem with either the system boardor power supply.9 Hard drive activity light — Turns onwhen the computer reads or writes data.A blinking blue light indicates hard driveactivity.CAUTION: To avoid loss of data,never turn off the computer while thehard drive activity light is blinking.
