You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface on thecomputer chassis.Replacing the Power Supply1 Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 99.2 Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" onpage 101).3 Remove the support bracket (see "Removing the Support Bracket" onpage 102).4 Disconnect the DC power cables from the system board and the drives.Note the routing of the DC power cables underneath the tabs in thecomputer chassis as you remove them from the system board and drives.You must route these cables properly when you replace them to preventthem from being pinched or crimped.5 Remove the optical drive (see "Removing an Optical Drive" on page 140).6 Remove the hard drive power cable, optical drive data and power cable,front panel cable, and any other cables from the securing clip on the sideof the power supply.7 Remove the three screws that attach the power supply to the back of thecomputer chassis.
