Owner´s Manual DEA5XX Radios7 | P a g eIf a tunable station is not found the radio willdisplay “NO STATION FOUND”PresetsStoring Radio Station PresetsTune the desire frequency, and then long pressany of the Preset(1-6) buttons until the radioproduces a beep.Tuning Radio Station PresetsShort press any of the Preset(1-6) buttons. Thefrequency stored at the preset location is tunedwhen the button is released.SCANTo initiate the Scan function, short press theSCAN/ASCN button. When SCAN is initiated,the radio seeks up in frequency and stops onthe next strong frequency for 8 seconds beforecontinuing to seek for the next strong station.If no station is found in two passes through theband, the radio will display “NO STATIONFOUND” and then tune its starting frequency.AUTOSCANThis function temporally stores the strongest 6stations of the current band in the presets untilthe radio is powered off or the source ischanged.AUTOSCAN does not store the frequencies onthe presets on numerical order; they are storedbased on the order in which they were foundand on the quality of the frequency.To initiate the AUTOSCAN function, long pressthe SCN/ASCN button until the radio performs abeep; then the “AUTO SCAN” icon will blinkwhile the radio is storing the temporary presets.When the store process finishes the radio willtune to the station stored in Preset 1 and the“AUTO SCAN” icon shall be illuminated whilethe mode is active.To tune any of the 6 frequencies or to store newpresets follow the steps defined in the Presetssection.To exit this mode and return to the originalpresets execute any of the following actions:• Press and hold the SCAN/ASCANbutton.• Press the SRC/PWR button.• Turn off the radio.• Make an ignition cycle.• Disconnect the battery.WXThe WX band is for the Governmental weatherradio services frequencies; the radio can tunethe 7 weather channels following the steps inTuning, Presets and SCAN sections.SXM (If Equipped)Vehicles with a valid SiriusXM® satellite radiosubscription can receive SiriusXMprogramming.SiriusXM satellite radio has a wide variety ofprogramming and commercial-free music, coastto coast, and in digital-quality sound.SXM DisplayWhen SiriusXM is active, the channel number,channel name, artist name/content info, songtitle or category name could be displayed on thescreen.
