5®Vertical Rotisserie5. Press and hold the “+” keypad to increase the minutes ofcooking time desired. Use the “-” keypad to subtract minutesfrom roasting time. To add or subtract minutes slowly, pressand release “+” or “-” buttons and the time will change inone minute increments. NOTE: The maximum roasting timepossible is 99 minutes.6. Press the HEAT button to switch between HIGH and LOW heatsettings. The indicator lights on the Control Panel indicateswhich setting is selected. For most rotisserie cooking, theHIGH setting is used.7. Press the START/PAUSE button. The green “on” light willilluminate and digital display will start counting down fromprogrammed time. When the heating elements turn on, two ofthe three ELEMENT lights flash on circular array of theControl Panel. As the cooking progresses, the three outerlights will alternate in a circular pattern, one or two at atime. This demonstrates how heat inside your Rotisserie iscirculating or rotating inside, roasting the food evenly.8. Always check food periodically with a standard meatthermometer to check for desired doneness. CAUTION: Useextreme caution when opening Glass Lid when the rotisserieis operating.9. When the cooking cycle is complete, your Rotisserie beepsthree times, the digital display will show “00” and theheating elements will turn off. Using a hot pad or oven mitt,carefully remove Glass Lid and set aside on a plate.10. Insert the Hook Handle into loop at top of Drip Tray orCenter Shield, and lift cooked food from rotisserie and placeit on a clean plate. For larger birds and roasts, werecommended using two hands on the Hook Handle toremove the food.11. Allow food to stand 10-15 minutes. Then remove food fromTower. NOTE: When removing roasts from the Center Shield(especially small roasts like pork tenderloin), consider cuttingthe roast off the shield by slicing it in half lengthwise. This willresult in two long pieces of meat that can be sliced for serving.Skewers1. Plug cord into wall outlet and place the oven on a flat, evensurface.2. Spray Skewers, side of Drip Tray and inside of Glass Lid withspray-on cooking oil. Set Drip Tray into Main Body. SlideCenter Shield into place on Tower.3. To roast kabobs, cut tender beef, lamb, or chicken into 1-inchcubes. Marinate, if desired. Thread cubed meat onto pointedend of skewers. For variety, alternate meat with chunks offresh vegetables such as peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, orsmall red potatoes. It’s great to include chunks of fruit, such aspineapple.4.
