Getting Started Connections Setup Playback Remote Control Multi-zone Information TroubleshootingENGLISH SpecificationsPlayback1 Press or [CH SELECT/ENTER]to select “Fader”.3 Use o p to adjust the volume of the speakers.(o: front, p: rear)• The fader function does not affect the subwoofer.• The fader can be adjusted until the volume of the speaker adjustedto the lowest value is –12 dB.Fader FunctionThis function lets you adjust (fade) the sound from all the front orrear speakers at once.1 Press or [CH SELECT/ENTER]to select the speaker.The speaker that can be set switches each time one of thebuttons is pressed.3 Use o p to adjust the volume.b In the case of a subwoofer, reducing the volume when it is at “–12dB” will change the setting to “OFF” (none).Channel LevelYou can adjust the channel level either according to the playbacksources or to suit your taste, as described below.NOTEWhen the input source is “iPod”, you cannot perform channel levelsetting.Quick Select FunctionWith this function, the currently playing input source, input mode,surround mode, MultEQ settings and volume can be stored in thememory.1 Set the input source, surround mode, MultEQ,Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, Front Speakersettings and volume to the conditions you want tostore.2 Press and hold the desired QUICK SELECT until“Memory” appears on the display.The current settings will be memorized.• To call out the settings, press QUICK SELECT at which the desiredsettings were stored.• The Quick Select name can be changed (vpage 30).NOTEInput sources stored with the quick select function cannot be selectedif they have been deleted at menu “Manual Setup” – “Option Setup” –“Source Delete” (vpage 29). In this case, store them again.Input Source VolumeQuick Select 1 DVD –40 dBQuick Select 2 TV/CBL –40 dBQuick Select 3 VCR –40 dB[Quick Select Defaults]Personal Memory Plus FunctionThis function sets the settings (input mode, surround mode, HDMIoutput mode, MultEQ, Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, audio delayetc.) last selected for the individual input sources.When you switch to an input source, the settings are automaticallyset to the ones that were set the last time that input source wasused.The surround parameters, tone and the volumes of the differentspeakers are stored for the individual surround modes.Last Function MemoryThis stores the settings as they were directly before the standbymode was set.When the power is turned back on, the settings are restored to asthey were directly before the standby mode was set.Backup MemoryThe various settings are backed up for about 1 week, even if thepower is turned off or the power cord is disconnected.Resetting the MicroprocessorPerform this procedure if the display is abnormal or if operationscannot be performed.When the microprocessor is reset, all the settings are reset totheir default values.1 Turn off the power using .2 Press while simultaneously pressing and .3 Once the display starts flashing at intervals of about 1second, release the two buttons.If in step 3 the display does not flash at intervals of about 1 second,start over from step 1.
