ENGLISH15PART NAMES AND FUNCTIONS5(1) Front Panelq POWER button• Press once to turn the power on.• Press again to set to the “OFF” position and turn the poweroff.• Set the power to the standby mode by pressing the POWERbutton on the remote control unit while the power is on.• Turn the power on from the standby mode by pressing thePOWER button on the remote control unit.w Power indicator• This indicator lights when the power is on and when thepower is in the standby mode.e CONTROL button• Press this button to set the control mode. In the controlmode, the separately sold 100 CD changer (DCM-5000/5001)can be operated using the buttons on the DVM-3700 or theincluded remote control unit (RC-542).• The CONTROL OUT connector on the rear panel of the DVM-3700 must be connected to the REMOTE CONTROL INconnector on the separately sold 100 CD changer (DCM-5000/5001) in order to use this function.r RANDOM button• Press this button to begin random play.• Pressing this button during stop, and press play button playto full automatic random play.• This button does not work when playing DVDs.t HDCD indicator• This indicator lights when playing discs recorded in HDCD®format.y AL 24 indicator• This indicator lights when the audio signals of a DVD, etc.,are being processed digitally with the AL 24 processor, anewly developed analog waveform reproduction technology.u REPEAT button• Press this button for repeated playback. (Refer to page 32 fordetails.)i DISC SKIP button• Each time this button is pressed, the carousel will rotate in aclockwise direction to the next tray position. This allows forloading or unloading of discs.• This button is also used to select the next disc, in the normalplay continuously.o Remote control sensor (REMOTE SENSOR)!0 Display• Information on the disc that is currently playing is shown onthe display. (See page 16.)!1 SKIP button (8)• Press this to move back to the beginning of the current track(or chapter).• Press again to move back to the beginning of the previoustrack (or chapter).!2 PLAY button (1)• Press this to play the disc.!3 SKIP button (9)• Press this to move ahead to the beginning of the next track(or chapter).!4 STILL/PAUSE button (3)• Press this button to stop play temporarily.!5 SLOW/SEARCH button (6)• Press this button in the play mode to search in the reversedirection.• Press the button in the still mode for slow play in the reversedirection.(2) Rear Panel!6 STOP button (2)• Press this to stop the disc. Connect a commerciallyavailable 75 Ω/ohms pin-plug cord.• Digital data is output from this connector.@8 Digital audio output connector (OPTICAL)• Connect using an optical fiber cable (available in stores).• Digital data is output from this connector.@9 Remote control input connector(REMOTE CONTROL IN)• This is the input connector for wired remote control.Consult your DENON dealer if you wish to use thisconnector.#0 Remote control output connector(REMOTE CONTROL OUT)• This is the output connector for wired remote control.Consult your DENON dealer if you wish to use thisconnector.#1 Control output connector (CONTROL OUT)• Connect with the REMOTE CONTROL IN connector of aseparately sold 100 CD changer (DCM-5000/5001) to controlthe 100 CD changer from the DVM-3700.#2 Power cord• Plug this into a wall power outlet.
