11ENGLISH• Each push of the y PLAY/PAUSE (13) buttonswitches between playback and pause. yPLAY/PAUSE (13) button illuminates solid greenduring playback and flashed in pause.• When the y PLAY/PAUSE (13) button is pushedduring play, the DN-S1000 pauses playback at thatpoint. Push y PLAY/PAUSE (13) button onceagain and playback resumes.• Playback will pause when SCRATCH is selectedwith the !8 DISC MODE button and the scratch discis held with your hand. Thisfunction is also called Back-Cue. With the Back-Cuefunction, you can start from exactly same position.The i CUE button illuminates solid red when DN-S1000 is ready to start playback.• You can set and change Cue point as follows.• When you started playback.• Track select finished.• manual search.Play and Cue• If you would like to start playback other from thebeginning of the track, you need to move Cue Pointusing fast Search and manual search function.• With Pitch slider you can adjust the playback speed(Pitch).• If you would not prefer to change key of sound, usethe Key Adjust function.Adjusting the pitch3DN-S1000 has five pitch ranges,4%, 10%, 16%, 24% and 100%.When the @9 RANGE buttonis pushed for more than 1 sec,the pitch range can be selectedwith the @3 PARAMETERSknob.4After you found yourpreferred Cue point, pushthe i CUE button then anew Cue point is set.2Push the !8 DISC MODEbutton to set o ScratchDisc to search mode. DN-S1000 has two ways for thisfunction PITCH BEND buttons and Scratch Disc.Pitch Bend1[PITCH BEND +/– buttons]• Push the @6 PITCH BEND– or @7 + button formomentary change ofpitch.While holding these buttons down, the pitchcontinues to change up to the limitation.• After releasing the PITCH BEND buttons,playback pitch returns to slider setting.[Scratch Disc]• When the disc mode is set toSEARCH/BEND with the !8 DISCMODE button, the playback speedcan be changed by turning oScratch Disc during playback.PITCH BEND2:OFFON :DISC MODESEARCH/BENDSCRATCH• Turn the @3 TRACK knob.• By pushing @3 TRACK knob down while turning, thetracks will increment 10 at a time.Select the track!Move the Cue point1You can move to the approximate playbackstart position by @4 or @5 FAST SEARCHbuttons.[QUICK JUMP]• If the FAST SEARCH buttonis tapped shortly, theplayback position jumps about 10 seconds.The jump time can be selected in thepreset mode from 10,20,30 or 60 sec.[FAST SEARCH]• When the FAST SEARCH button is pressedand held in, the disc is fast-searched.Power on play• When “POWER ON PLAY” is set to “ON” at “⁄4PRESET (10)”, playback starts from the first trackon the disc when the power is turned on.QUICK JUMPFAST SEARCHPITCH/KEYRANGE3• When the @3 PARAMETERSknob is pushed the pitchrange is entered and thepitch range selection modeis cancelled.MP3 SEARCH MODEPARAMETERSPUSHTRACK SEARCH
