Inspect theseareas of heater before each use.Have heater inspected yearlyby a qualified service person.Heater may need more frequentcleaning due to excessive lintfrom carpeting, pet hair, beddingmaterial, etc.WARNING: Failure to keepthe primary air opening(s) ofthe burner(s) clean may result insooting and property damage.BURNER INjECTOR HOLDER ANDPILOT AIR INLET HOLEThe primary air inlet holes allow the properamount of air to mix with the gas. This pro-vides a clean burning flame. Keep theseholes clear of dust, dirt, lint and pet hair.Clean these air inlet holes prior to eachheating season. Blocked air holes will createsoot. We recommend that you clean the unitevery three months during operation andhave heater inspected yearly by a qualifiedservice person.We also recommend that you keep the burnertube and pilot assembly clean and free of dustand dirt. To clean these parts we recommendusing compressed air no greater than 30 PSI.Your local computer store, hardware store orhome center may carry compressed air in acan. If using compressed air in a can, pleasefollow the directions on the can. If you don’tfollow directions on the can, you could dam-age the pilot assembly.1. Shut off unit, including pilot. Allow unit tocool for at least thirty minutes.
