Hold the control buttonagain until burner turns off (see Figure 36).TO LOCK press both buttons on hand-heldremote control until light stops flashing. Hand-held remote control is now locked. If the fire ison it will be turned off automatically. In thelocked state, the light will not light up whenany button is pressed.TO UNLOCK press both buttons togetheron hand-held remote control until the lightstops flashing. The radiantheat from the fireplace will turn off the fireplace.Ideally, place the hand-held remote in the centerof the room facing towards the fireplace.Note: Do not hold the hand-held remote fora long time. Body temperature will affect itsoperation in the AUTO mode.Safety FeaturesWhen away from home for an extended periodof time or as a child safety feature to preventaccidental ignition of the fireplace, the receiverON/OFF/REMOTE switch should be in theOFF position.Auto Shutoff Feature1. If the average room temperature exceeds 82degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Centigrade),the hand-held remote control will perform asafety override and shut the fireplace off. Thisfeature is not available in the MANU mode.
