If you have thesesigns, the heater may not be working properly. Getfresh air at once! Have heater serviced. Somepeople are more affected by carbon monoxide thanothers. These include pregnant women, people withheart or lung disease or anemia, those under theinfluence of alcohol, and those at high altitudes.Natural and Propane/LP Gas: Natural and propane/LP gases are odorless. An odor-making agent isadded to the gas. The odor helps you detect a gasleak. Never place anyobjects on the heater.Fireplace front and screen be-come very hot when running fire-place. Keep children and adultsaway from hot surfaces to avoidburns or clothing ignition. Fire-place will remain hot for a timeafter shutdown. Allow surfacesto cool before touching.Carefully supervise young chil-dren when they are in the roomwith fireplace. When using theoptional hand-held remote ac-cessory, keep selector switch inthe OFF position to prevent chil-dren from turning on burnerswith remote.You must operate this fireplacewith the fireplace screen andhood in place.
