Removepacking.Note: The hood is located in the packingon the right hand side of the heater front.Lift the heater off the bottom tray.2. Locate two screws above top corners ofthe fireplace screen. Remove and discardthese screws. Lift fireplace screen up andpull out to remove.3. Remove protective packaging applied tologs, log base assembly and fireplace.4. Remove fireplace hood from cartoninsert.5. Check all items for any shipping damage.If damaged, promptly inform dealer whereyou bought fireplace.PRODUCT FEATURESOpERATIONThis vent-free fireplace is clean burning. It re-quires no outside venting. There is no heat lossout a vent or up a chimney. Heat is generated byrealistic flames. When used without the blower,fireplace requires no electricity making it idealfor emergency backup heat. This heater is de-signed for vent-free operation. It has been testedand approved to ANSI Z21.11.2 standard forunvented heaters. State and local codes in someareas prohibit the use of vent-free heaters.SAFETY DEvICEThis fireplace has a pilot with an OxygenDepletion Sensing (ODS) safety shutoffsystem. The ODS/pilot is a required featurefor vent-free room heaters. The ODS/pilotsystem shuts off the fireplace if there is notenough fresh air.pIEzO IGNITION SYSTEMThis fireplace has a piezo ignitor.
