30100353SERVICEPROCEDURESRemoving Control Valveand Burner Tube1. Shut off gas supply toheater.2. Remove lower frontaccess panel on heater.3. Disconnect burner tubefrom orifice holder (seeFigure 22).4. Remove pilot gas linefrom control valve (seeFigure 22).5. Disconnect wire connec-tors from thermocoupleinterrupter (see Figure22).6. Remove thermocoupleand thermocouple inter-rupter from control valve.7. Remove cotter pin fromcontrol valve. Thisreleases the control rodfrom valve (see Figure22).8. Remove the two mountingscrews from control valvemounting bracket (seeFigure 22).9. Remove assembly fromthe rear of heater.10. To reinstall, reverse abovesteps. Turn on gas toheater and check for gasleaks. Apply a mixture ofliquid soap and water toall joints. Bubbles formingshow a leak. Correct allleaks at once.11.
