6103807THEORY OFOPERATIONThe Fuel System: The motor turns the fuel pump. The fuel pump pulls fuel fromthe fuel tank. The fuel pump pushes fuel through a filter and a solenoid valve and outthe burner head nozzle. A fine mist of fuel is sprayed into the combustion chamber. The Air System: The motor turns the fan. The fan pushes air into and around thecombustion chamber. This air is heated and provides a stream of clean, hot air.The Ignition System: The electronic ignitor sends voltage to the spark plug. Thespark plug ignites the fuel and air mixture. The Burner Control System: This system causes the heater to shut down if theflame goes out. It also allows the fan to continue running after normal shutdown ofheater. This cools the combustion chamber.CoolAir InCombustionChamberCleanHeatedAir OutBurnerHeadFuelFilterAir for Combustionand Heating FuelFigure 3 - Cross Section Operational ViewSparkPlugSolenoidValve Fan Fuel Pump/Fuel FilterMotorFuelPickupLineElectronicIgnitorNozzleFuel Tank Fuel Line ToSolenoid Valve
