Donot remove if glass is hot. Keepchildren and pets away fromglass.WARNING: If fireplace hasbeen running, turn off and un-plug fireplace. Let cool before re-moving glass door or louvers.Removing Louver PanelsRemove the top and bottom louver panels by si-multaneously pulling both top end spring latchestowards the center of the appliance until they aredisengaged from the locating holes (see Figure 37).Repeat for bottom spring latches and pull the lou-vers outward. To install or replace items removed,simply reverse the procedures above.FIREPLACEINSTALLATIONContinuedRemoving Glass DoorIf replacement of glass is necessary, the entireassembly, glass and frame, must be replaced. Ifglass is broken, wear gloves and tape the remainingfragments onto the frame.1. Remove screen assembly by pushing the rodeither left or right and then down and forwardto remove screen/rod assembly from the fire-box. Set assembly aside.2. Lift up on latches to unlock. There are two ontop of firebox and two below firebox that holdglass door in place (see Figure 38).3. While holding glass door to prevent it fromfalling and causing injury, remove the fivescrews from the hinge located on the left sideof door frame assembly (see Figure 38).4. Remount the new frame at the hinge with fivenew screws before closing door. This willensure seating of the gasket.5. Close glass door frame. Lock latches by placingthe bar under the tab on door and pushing downand back on latch (see Figure 38).6. Replace screen/rod assembly by reversing step 1.7.
