It has a sealed gas combustion chamber that uses acoaxial pipe (pipe within a pipe and having the same center) ventingsystem. It brings in fresh air for combustion through the outer pipe andcombustion gases are exhausted through the inner pipe. If the glassdoor assembly and venting pipe are not properly seated, connected,and sealed, carbon monoxide leakage (spillage) can occur.Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: Early signs of carbon monoxidepoisoning resemble the flu, with headaches, dizziness, or nausea. Ifyou have these signs, the fireplace may not have been installedproperly. Get fresh air at once! Have fireplace inspected andserviced by a qualified service person. Some people are moreaffected by carbon monoxide than others. These include pregnantwomen, people with heart or lung disease or anemia, those under theinfluence of alcohol, and those at high altitudes.Natural and Propane/LP Gas: Natural and propane/LP gases areodorless. An odor-making agent is added to the gas. The odor helpsyou detect a gas leak.
