Hold the con-trol button again until burner turns off (seeFigure 46).TO LOCK press both buttons on hand-heldremote control until light stops flashing. Hand-held remote control is now locked. If the fire ison it will be turned off automatically. In thelocked state, the light will not light up whenany button is pressed.TO UNLOCK press both buttons togetheron hand-held remote control until the lightstops flashing. To selectFahrenheit/Centigrade mode display, carefullypress the ˚C/˚F mode button with the end of apaper clip or similar blunt object.Manual Mode1. Press the POWER and LOCK buttonstogether to turn on the hand-held remotecontrol.2. Press the MANU button to turn on thefireplace.3. Press the POWER and LOCK buttonstogether to turn off the fireplace.Auto (Thermostatic) Mode1. Press the POWER and LOCK buttonstogether to turn on the hand-held remotecontrol.2. Press AUTO button to select this mode.3. Set the desired room temperature bypressing the TEMP + or - buttons.4. Press the POWER and LOCK buttonstogether to turn off the fireplaceNote: Do not leave the hand-held remote inthe AUTO mode close to the fireplace. Theradiant heat from the fireplace will turn off thefireplace. Ideally, place the hand-held remotein the center of the room facing towards thefireplace.Note: Do not hold the hand-held remote fora long time. If the average room temperature exceeds82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Centi-grade), the hand-held remote control willperform a safety override and shut thefireplace off. This feature is not availablein the MANU mode.2. The receiver continuously receives signalsfrom the hand-held remote to control theroom temperature. If the hand-held remoteis misplaced, obstructed or for any reasoncannot transmit to the receiver, the receiverwill shut off the fireplace after 8 minutes.
