Follow "B" inthe safety information in column 1. If youdon't smell gas, go on the next step.6. Press in and turn control knob counter-clockwise to the PILOT position.Press in control knob for five (5) seconds(see Figure 18).7. With control knob pressed in, press andrelease ignitor button. This will light pilot.If needed, keep pressing ignitor buttonuntil pilot lights.Note: If pilot does not stay lit, contact aqualified service person or gas supplierfor repairs.8. Keep control knob pressed in for 30 sec-onds after lighting pilot. After 30 seconds,release control knob.• If control knob does not pop out whenreleased, turn off gas supply and contacta qualified service person or gas supplierfor repairs.Note: If pilot goes out, repeat steps 4through 8.9. Slightly push in and turn control knob coun-terclockwise to the ON position.10. Wait one minute and move switch to theON position to light burner.Note: AUTO is only functional when usingoptional remote control accessory.11. Follow thegas supplier’s instructions.• If you cannot reach your gas supplier,call the fire department.C. Use only your hand to push in or turngas control knob. Never use tools. Ifthe knob will not push in or turn byhand, do not try to repair it, call a quali-fied technician. Force or attemptedrepair may result in a fire.D. Do not use this appliance if any part hasbeen under water. Immediately call aqualified service technician to inspectthe appliance and to replace any part ofthe control system and any gas controlwhich has been under water.LIGHTINGINSTRUCTIONS1. STOP!
