Trim will extend past sidesof fireplace approximately 1/2 inch. This will coverthe rough edges of the wall opening. If installinga built-in mantel above the fireplace, you mustfollow the clearances shown in Figure 10, page12. Follow the instructions below to install thefireplace in this manner.Actual FramingHeight 26" 26 7 /8 "Front Width 26 3 /4 " 26 7 /8 "Depth 14 1 /4 " 15 1 /4 "1. Frame in rough opening. Use dimensions shownin Figure 7 for the rough opening. If installing ina corner, use dimensions shown in Figure 8 forthe rough opening. The height is 26 7/8" whichis the same as the wall opening above.2. If installing GA3450TA blower accessory, doso at this time. Follow instructions includedwith blower accessory.Note: If not installing blower accessory, youmay wish to run electrical wiring to yourfireplace for future blower installation (seeAccessories, page 40). Use only approvedthree-wire electrical wiring.WARNING: If pre-wiring, donot connect wiring to any electri-cal source at this time.Install fireplace electrical outletand connect wiring to outletbefore connecting to electricalsource. The fireplace electri-cal outlet is included with theGA3450TA blower accessory.Only use the fireplace electri-cal outlet supplied with theGA3450TA blower accessory.Note: A qualified installer should make all electri-cal connections.3. Install gas piping to fireplace location. Thisinstallation includes an approved flexible gasline (if allowed by local codes) after the equip-ment shutoff valve. The flexible gas line mustbe the last item installed on the gas piping.4. If you have not installed hood, follow instruc-tions on page 6.5. Carefully set fireplace in front of rough openingwith back of fireplace inside wall opening.6. Attach flexible gas line to fireplace gas regula-tor. See Connecting Equipment Shutoff Valveto Heater Control, page 17.7. Bend four nailing flanges on outer casing withpliers (see Figure 9).8. Attach fireplace to wall studs using nails orwood screws through holes in nailing flange.9. Check all gas connections for leaks.
