Incorrect spark gap.2. Ignitor electrode posi-tioned wrong.3. Ignitor electrode broken.4. Ignitor electrode not con-nected to ignitor cable.5. Ignitor cable pinched orwet.6. Piezo ignitor nut is loose.7. Broken or frayed ignitorcable.8. Loose ignitor cable.9. Bad piezo ignitor.1. Gas supply turned off ormanual shutoff valveclosed.2. Control knob not inPILOT position.3. Control knob notpressed in while inPILOT position.4. Air in gas lines wheninstalled.5. Depleted gas supply.6. Pilot is clogged.7. Gas regulator setting isnot correct.REMEDY1. Adjust spark gap to 1/16".2. Replace ignitor.3. Replace ignitor.4. Reconnect ignitor cable.5. Free ignitor cable ifpinched by any metal ortubing. Keep ignitorcable dry.6. Tighten nut holding piezoignitor to heater cabinet.Nut is located insideheater cabinet at top.7. Replace ignitor cable.8. Reconnect ignitor cable.9. Replace piezo ignitor.1. Turn on gas supply oropen manual shutoffvalve.2. Turn control knob toPILOT position.3. Press in control knobwhile in PILOT position.4. Continue holding downcontrol knob. Repeatigniting operation untilair is removed.5. Contact local propanegas company.6. Clean pilot (see Clean-ing and Maintenance,page 23) or replace pilotassembly.7. Replace control valve.OBSERVEDPROBLEMWhen ignitor buttonis pressed, there is nospark at pilot.When ignitor buttonis pressed, there isspark at pilot but noignition.
