Standard ther-mostats simply turn on and off the burner. Thethermostat used on this fireplace senses the roomtemperature. The thermostat adjusts the amount ofgas flow to the burner. This increases or decreasesthe burner flame height. At times the room mayexceed the set temperature. If so, the burner willshut off. The burner will cycle back on when roomtemperature drops below the set temperature. The control knob can be set to any heat levelbetween HI and LO.Note: The thermostat sensing bulb measuresthe temperature of air near the fireplace cabinet. This may not always agree with room tempera-ture (depending on housing construction, instal-lation location, room size, open air temperatures,etc.). Frequent use of your fireplace will let youdetermine your own comfort levels.MANUAL LIGHTINGPROCEDURE1. Follow steps 1 through 5 under LightingInstructions, starting on page 19, column 1.2.
