Gently lift up on the log andbracket. Set aside.2. Inspect burner and primary air inlet holeson injector holder for dust and dirt (seeFigure 25).3. Blow air through the ports/slots and holesin the burner.4. Check the injector holder located at theend of the burner tube again. Removeany large particles of dust, dirt, lint or pethair with a soft cloth or vacuum cleanernozzle.5. Blow air into the primary air holes on theinjector holder.6. Have heaterinspected yearly by a qualifiedservice person. Heater may needmore frequent cleaning due toexcessive lint from carpeting,bedding material, pet hair, etc.WARNING: Failure to keepthe primary air opening(s) ofthe burner(s) clean may result insooting and property damage.BURNER INjECTOR HOLDERThe primary air inlet holes allow the properamount of air to mix with the gas. This pro-vides a clean burning flame. Keep theseholes clear of dust, dirt, lint and pet hair.Clean these air inlet holes prior to eachheating season. Blocked air holes will createsoot. We recommend that you clean the unitevery three months during operation andhave heater inspected yearly by a qualifiedservice person.We also recommend that you keep the burnertube clean and free of dust and dirt. We recom-mend using compressed air no greater than30 PSI. Your local computer store, hardwarestore or home center may carry compressedair in a can. You can use a vacuum cleaner inthe blow position. If using compressed air in acan, please follow the directions on the can.If you don't follow directions on the can, youcould damage the pilot assembly.Before cleaning, shut off the unit, including thepilot. Allow the unit to cool for at least thirtyminutes. You will need to remove the front logto access the front burner.
