Once you have determinedwhich device is causing interference, move itfurther from the TV/DVD combo to eliminatethe interference.“No signal” errormessage isdisplayed• Press INPUT and make sure that you haveselected the correct input for the device orservice you are trying to use.• If you are using a cable or satellite box, use theremote that came with that box to changechannels.Problem SolutionAfter AutoChannel Search,there are nochannels• Reception can vary by channel depending onthe broadcast power level of a given station.Contact your cable or satellite TV provider.• Make sure the antenna or cable/satellite TV isconnected securely to your TV/DVD combo.• Try replacing the cable between theantenna/cable or cable/satellite box and yourTV/DVD combo.One or morechannels do notdisplay.• Make sure that the channels are not blocked.See “Setting parental control levels” in theUser Guide.• Make sure that the channels are not hidden.The channel may have been deleted from thechannel list. You can tune to the channel bypressing the number buttons or you can addthe channel back to the channel list. See“Hiding channels” in the User Guide.• If you are using a cable or satellite box, use theremote that came with that box to changechannels.• Make sure you have the correct input selectedto view channels from the cable or satellitebox.• If you are using an antenna, the digital channelsignal may be low. To check the digitalchannel signal strength, see “Checking thedigital signal strength” in the User Guide.Password is lost. • Enter 9999 to access parental controls, thenset a new password. See “Setting or changingthe password” in the User Guide.Some settingscannot beaccessed.• If a setting is grayed, the setting is notavailable in the current video input mode.TV/DVD combocabinet creaks.• When the TV/DVD combo is in use, thetemperature rises naturally and may cause thecabinet to expand or contract which can causea creaking noise. See “Setting the sleep timer” in the UserGuide.Problem SolutionPlayback does notstart.• No disc is loaded. Insert your disc into thedisc slot.• The disc may be dirty. Clean the disc.• The disc is not supported. See the UserGuide for a list of compatible disc formats.No picture. • The TV/DVD combo is not in DVD mode.Press INPUT and select DVD as the inputsource.No sound. • If an external speaker is connected, check itsvolume control.Picture distortionduring fastreverse/forwardplayback.• The picture will be distorted occasionally.This is not a malfunction.Playback featuresfailure.• The playback features such as stopping,skipping, or repeat play are not applicable toall discs.Problem Solution
